Watercolour, Gouache, and Ink

A handful of years ago, I decided watercolours couldn’t f**k with me anymore.

I had cut my chops on oils and acrylics when I was barely a teenager, but it took me until my forties to finally stop working against watercolours and learn to work with them.

Obsessed with taming the acuarela beast, I sat at my desk for hours practicing drills, shapes, effects, blends… It clicked. I did the work and it clicked. Now, my watercolour classes are some of the most popular I teach.

And watercolour? It became my favourite wet medium. Followed closely by graffiti markers. Because why not.

Oh, and I also love gouache and ink. They’re also fiddly beasts, so maybe this gallery of works is the fiddly-beasts-who-don’t-scare-me-anymore part of the site.

Shop available works in my online store. If you see something you love, but it’s not in the shop, get in touch for availability.
