Colour palettes of famous artists, in pie charts

I find this fascinating- the evolution of influential fine artists through their colour palettes over ten years.

In the life drawing class I lead, I'm encouraging my artists to discover their own "personal palette." This will obviously change over time, but creating a set of colours you feel comfortable and confident with is important.

In true, "do as I say, not as I do" fashion, I'm not sure I have a personal palette. I tend to keep my tubes of oils in drawers and flit between them like a butterfly. This can hurt productivity, certainly, as I make poor choices plenty, but it's just how I work. For now. See me in ten years. ;)
