🛒 Shop Info

  • Find the section on this page that best matches your shop-related question, and - if necessary - use the email address linked in that section. (They’re all underlined.)

I know they all say sales@jendixon.com but each link is programmed with specific information relating to that specific question. It’s like a shortcut for getting the info I need to best help you as quickly as I can.

If the shop-related reason you need to contact me is not on this page, then please be specific with your needs in an email to sales@jendixon.com.

If it’s not shop business, then please use my website contact form in the main navigation.

Thank you. Keep reading. I really tried to anticipate your needs with all these words. 🙂

  • It depends on where you live. I currently ship to the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada. I hope to expand this in the future.

👉 If there is something you especially love and you do not live in the UK, US, or Canada, get in touch as soon as possible and we may be able to arrange something. Sometimes it’s just not possible, but I will always look into it for you.

Contact me at sales@jendixon.com to ask.
👉 Note: I cannot guarantee an item to be available for you prior to agreeing a sale in writing (electronic or physical) due to the possibility of another customer - within the established shipping zones - completing a purchase of the item(s) through the website first. But I will do everything I can to assist you as quickly as I am able during typical business hours.

  • I am offering free shipping on all non-original works. That means prints (typically, mechanically reproduced), postcards, cards, and other “not-so-expensive” items will ship to the US, Canada, and UK free of charge.

There is a charge to ship originals. This price may fluctuate depending on the collection of originals offered for sale at that time, adjusted collection-to-collection, to accommodate the packaging, service, and insurance costs for those items. I create (and sell) a very wide variety of sizes, shapes, and weights of original works, which is a regrettable “lack of forward-planning” aspect of my art career, and the reason I have put off having an online shop for years. It’s all very complicated, but to make it simple, each collection has an averaged shipping price (tracked, insured) applied to originals. It was the best solution currently possible to allow you to click and pay, rather than getting a bespoke shipping quote for every order. When I’m Oprah-rich, everyone will get free shipping, but we’re not there yet.

👉 The averaged price covers up to a certain maximum insurance amount (including tracking), but in the event your order contains multiple original items that exceed that coverage ceiling, I’ll be in touch.

    TL;DR
    Current Collection:

📌 Originals/higher-priced items: £15 per order (if not exceeding the insurance coverage I can purchase for that amount; see above for more info).
📌 Prints, postcards, lower-priced items: Free.

✏️ Changes will be noted here when necessary, depending on the collection of works for sale.

Thank you for reading. You have no idea how many hours solving this shipping conundrum has sucked from my life.

  • Sometimes, on some things. (See the above section for current pricing.)

I am a self-employed artist doing what I can to make a living, but also I try to be fair with my pricing for my work and shipping.

When anyone offers free shipping, I know you know that someone has to pay for it, so it’s probably rolled into the item price anyway. But hey, people sure do love the word “free” don’t they? (I know I do too.)

👉 To ship my original works with insurance, a basic shipping amount is applied to those items. I will not ship them without insurance.
👉 Prints, etc., will often have free shipping, but if an “original” (or “higher-priced” item) is on the same order, you will see shipping applied to cover the insurance for that item/the order as a whole.
📍Ordering more than one original at a time will not automatically increase that amount, though if you go nuts and order several original pieces in one transaction, I may be in touch to arrange an additional transaction amount to purchase the appropriate insurance coverage. That probably won’t occur in most cases, but I thought I’d better mention it.

👉 NOTE: Courier insurance only covers the actual price of the item+shipping, not the loss to my business of the work itself, meaning, I’ll still probably have a little cry if something bad damages, ruins, or loses the art. So, please pay the extra money if I ask you to; I’m still always taking a risk, but your purchase will be covered.

  • Your order will typically be processed and posted (or courier arranged) within 3 business days. I gotta do the paperwork, update the inventory, pack your treasure, and either deliver the package to the courier company or wait for them to collect it. These things take time for a small businessperson, and I am the only staff.

Thank you for understanding, and I’ll be as quick as I can. And because no one likes anxiety, I’ll always let you know if there is a delay for any reason. Most orders will also receive a tracking number, if that is part of the postage you have purchased (or that I have arranged).

I can’t wait for you to receive your art. 🥳

As far as when you’ll receive your item(s)? I will always try to get your order to you as quickly as possible, mostly because I want it in your safe hands as soon as possible. The more days in-between me and you, the more I worry. I usually check tracking numbers a couple of times per day because I am obsessive like that. Courier company services can vary wildly, but if you’re concerned it’s taking longer than estimated, contact me and I’ll see what I can find out.

  • 😢 Bummer. I wish this had gone better for us.

📍 By placing an order on my site, you have agreed to these terms and conditions (both within this specific section, as well as any sales process information on this website):

👉 Original art sales are final.

I do not buy back art for any reason, nor do I make any guarantees as to the future value or future condition of the art I sell. Once it leaves my care, it’s in yours.

👉 If you require colour-matching, exact measurements, or other specific details, then you need to contact me before making a purchase. I make original art with my very own hands, and when I’m creating it, I’m not at all concerned if the result will match anyone’s interior decorating ideas. It will never be anything but cosmic chance if it does happen to match your sofa cushions perfectly.

👉 I sell art as-is, transferring the ownership* of the item - and the responsibility of its care - to the purchaser. As stated above, if you are unsure about making a purchase (perhaps you need additional information regarding size, colour, or care conditions for the item) then you should contact me first - or immediately after purchasing - to avoid disappointment or surprises.
⚠️ Once I ship the item - which is defined as purchasing postage or courier labels, and/or arranging collection or drop-off of the package - the sale is final. I make one-of-a-kind creations, so please be sure you want your order - and accept the responsibility of its care - before entering your payment details.

📍 If the item is broken or damaged in transit, then I will pursue an insurance claim for original art [see the “Breakable stuff…” section] or - if appropriate - prints, reproductions, or other items may be replaced as a possible solution, depending on stock available. I take great care in the creation of my work, and also in packaging them for transit.

I will honestly do my best to ensure your happiness with your purchase, but I also am not a big corporate retailer, so please purchase with certainty, and confidence. I’ll take care of the rest. 🙂

📌 Note: I, Jen Dixon a.k.a. Jennifer Dixon (legally trading as Jen Dixon Arts), retain all copyright and reproduction rights of my art, creations, words, and content, digital or physical. Purchase and/or arranged ownership of my work does not ever grant copyright transfer from my possession.

  • Oh man, it sucks when something arrives damaged. This has only happened once or twice with my packages in the last ten+ years. Despite the good track record, I insure nearly everything by default.

👉 If you ever receive a package that looks like it’s been in a losing fight with a lion, please do the following:

    • Take photos from all angles of the box/tube/envelope/crate.

    • Carefully inspect the item(s) you ordered and take photos of them, with specific close-ups of the damaged areas.

    • Note who/which carrier/courier delivered the package, what time of day, and how it was received (in-person, designated “safe place”, neighbour, etc.).

    • Send this information to me at sales@jendixon.com

  • If a package I ship is undeliverable due to an error or omission in the address details provided at time of purchase, a refusal of the package at the time of an attempted delivery, or failure to arrange a re-delivery or pick-up as per the tracking information and instructions provided by the courier within their specified timeframe, the package may be returned to me, or disposed of per the specific regulations of the contracted courier. Please use the tracking information, and check for any “attempted delivery” cards, letters, or notifications from the courier during the estimated potential delivery dates.

⚠️ Refunds in full will NOT be issued on packages that are designated undeliverable due to purchaser error or negligence.

If a package is returned to me due to purchaser error or negligence, a restock fee of 20% of the purchase total, including shipping costs, PLUS any new/additional courier and/or customs fees, duties, charges, penalties, or return shipping costs, will be retained as compensation for the failed delivery process. I will refund any monetary amount left after recouping those costs (to the card used for the original purchase) if those costs do not exceed the total amount tendered by the purchaser for the sale.

If the item(s) returns to me damaged from this “undeliverable” situation - no matter who is at fault for the damage - no refund will be issued at all to the purchaser, and I reserve the right to seek additional compensation for the purchaser creating the conditions leading to the damage/destruction of my work, which rendered it a loss for my business.

So, double-check your submitted delivery information, then check your tracking number often for shipment updates. You’re likely ordering a one-of-a-kind item, so let’s give it that little extra effort to make a happy ending for us all.

  • Man, I know have to write out all of these terms and conditions to cover my butt (and yours) with legal clarity, but they sure are depressing, aren’t they? 🙃

👉 If your package is lost - and I know we don’t want to think about that possibility - but if you don’t receive your package within the estimated delivery window, contact your courier first to see if there is a delay (industrial action/disruptions, weather, or other unforeseen complication - check their website), and also let me know. Together, we’ll get to the bottom of the mystery. 🔍

👉 Note: Typically a courier company has a set number of days/weeks before declaring a parcel “lost”, so we may need to be patient before we can resolve things. If it is then designated officially lost by the courier, we will seek appropriate compensation through their insurance (and I’ll probably cry because my creation is gone forever).

  • Sometimes, but it’s rare. They’re stressful for me, and there is the risk that our visions for the commission may not be the same, and then it becomes awkward for everyone. That said, you should ask about the specific thing you’re looking for because rare isn’t never.

Got something specific in mind? And I do mean specific, because the more information you can tell me about what you desire increases the odds of negotiating a commission.

If you’re not sure, have a look at my portfolio for stuff I do and the variety of my creations. If you ask for something that wouldn’t fit in that mix, then you’re probably asking the wrong artist for a commission.

After browsing my portfolio to see what I do, use this link to send a commission enquiry: sales@jendixon.com

  • That’s not something I currently offer, but if you’re a major brand, retailer, or Hollywood, contact me and there may be something special we can arrange in return for fair compensation (I got rent to pay).

📍 Note: Agreeing to a meeting or exploratory discussion does not mean I’ll say yes, nor does it grant or imply any terms whatsoever, but it is a good start for our business relationship.

You can always send me a fruit basket to butter me up first. I like fruit.

If we see a fair opportunity together, then we will negotiate the terms of a legal contract in writing.

(I genuinely hope someone sends me a fruit basket… mmm… fruit.)
